3. Governor Lever and Spring System

The lubrication oil system is separate from the fuel injection pump system, refueled through the oil filling port on the governor's top cover until oil spills out of the oil level screw hole.

1. Steady-State Operation


Under stable load conditions, the centrifugal force of the speeder spring balances with the tension of the governor spring and the friction of the entire mechanism, maintaining a stable fuel supply from the fuel injection pump, and ensuring the diesel generator operates at a set speed.

2. Adjustment under Reduced Load


When the load decreases, the fuel supply from the fuel injection pump exceeds the demand, causing the diesel generator speed to increase. The centrifugal force of the speeder spring exceeds the tension of the governor spring, causing the speeder to open outward, the governor lever to swing right, adjusting the rack movement to reduce fuel supply until it stabilizes at a new speed.

3. Reaction under Increased Load


When the load increases, the fuel supply from the fuel injection pump is less than the demand, causing the diesel generator speed to decrease. The centrifugal force of the speeder spring is less than the tension of the governor spring, causing the speeder to contract, the governor lever to swing left, adjusting the rack movement to increase fuel supply until it stabilizes at a new speed.

Different types of governors have different speed control rates, and the stable operating point after load changes depends on the governor's design characteristics.
